The Foundation has introduced a special program - Change a Life.
The program will acknowledge significant donors starting at the $2,500 giving level by allowing the donor to have a scholarship acknowledged in an individual's or company name.
IDA Scholarship Foundation
The International Door Association, in an effort to reinforce the value of education, has established the IDA Scholarship Foundation (501C3). IDA members’ immediate families, employees and their immediate families are eligible to receive monetary awards to be applied toward undergraudate studies with state approved certified universities, colleges, and trade schools.
CONTRIBUTIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE!
A bequest is a gift you leave through a will or trust. It allows you to support your charitable interests because you can be sure that your support for intended recipients is continued after your passing while you continue to retain complete control over your assets while you are alive. You may leave a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or whatever remains after other bequests, such as those to family members, are satisfied.
If you anticipate that a bequest to the IDA Scholarship Foundation will be greater than $50,000 please let us know so that we can assist you if there is any specific additional language required for your will or trust to properly document your intentions.
There are a variety of ways that you can structure your bequest, including:
Sample Bequest for Unrestricted Gift:
I hereby give the International Door Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (“IDASF”), an Ohio nonprofit corporation with its principal offices at 28 Lowry Drive, West Milton, OH 45383, (the sum of $_______) or (_______% of the residue of my estate), to be used for its general purposes.
Sample Bequest for continuing gift:
I hereby give the International Door Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (“IDASF”), an Ohio nonprofit corporation with its principal offices at 28 Lowry Drive, West Milton, OH 45383, (the sum of $_________) or (________% of the residue of my estate), first to continue my support for the IDASF scholarship(s) for which I am sponsoring at the time of my death. Support shall continue for as long as recipient(s) is/are attending a qualified education program. Upon the condition that all specific recipients at the time of my death have concluded their qualified education programs, or upon the termination of my prior commitments to said scholarships, all remaining funds shall be distributed to IDASF to provide scholarships for other qualified recipients.
Sample Bequest for a gift for a specific use:
I hereby give the International Door Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (“IDASF”), an Ohio nonprofit corporation with its principal offices at 28 Lowry Drive, West Milton, OH 45383, (the sum of $_________) or (________% of the residue of my estate), to be sued for the purposes I have designated in writing and delivered to IDASF. If, in its opinion, the need for funds for the designated purpose no longer exists, IDASF is authorized to use these funds for a similar purpose.
