Welcome to The International Door Association Scholarship Foundation

The mission of the International Door Association Scholarship Foundation is to support advanced educational opportunities for scholastically eligible students by providing financial resources among IDA member company personnel and their immediate family members.

As of May 2012, 162 IDA Scholarship Recipients have been awarded over 200 scholarships for a total of $833,000.

On June 22, 2000, the IDA Board of directors authorized the development of a Scholarship program to be administered by the association’s Education and Meetings Committee. The first IDA Scholarship awards were given in the Fall of 2001. The foundation was incorporated on August 5, 2002 and a foundation board was established in October 2002. An IDA Scholarship Investor Program was initiated in 2001 and a recognition for contributors page first appeared in the International Door & Operator Industry magazine in the July-Aug 2002 issue.
